NEXT STePS LEARNING CENTER
Next Steps Learning Center is a state-licensed child care facility with two locations – Chaska and Chanhassen. Our facilities provide a safe, happy, high quality environment for Infant, Toddler, and Preschool children. Next Steps Learning Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Our facility boasts generous square footage for all classrooms, which enables children to feel comfortable to move freely throughout the day. In addition to the generous sized classrooms, our Center has an indoor gymnasium where children are able to express their energetic sides, exercise, and build upon their large motor skills in an indoor setting. The facility includes an on-site kitchen so hot lunches can be served at no extra charge. Nutritious snacks and lunches are served to contribute to the growth and development of happy, healthy children.
Next Steps Learning Center is locally and independently owned and operated. We are dedicated to ensuring that each child is well cared for in an enriching atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore the world around them through play and directed activities. Our program offers each child the individual care, attention and nurturing environment that is necessary for healthy growth. We value the individuality of each child by recognizing these differences and offering personal care and attention in a group setting. It is the goal of our staff to provide exemplary service for all families and to ensure that your child has an enjoyable and exciting time while in our care.
Located just off Highway 5 and Park Road, our central location makes our program convenient for families of Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Victoria and more! Our center is in a private cul-de-sac that provides natural views and privacy. Our secure building includes 7 spacious classrooms and a large gymnasium for indoor play. Our playgrounds are recently remodeled to include new equipment and clean, safe artificial turf.
Conveniently located at the corner of Chaska Boulevard and Audubon Road and operating since 2010, we have been a staple in the Chaska community for over 10 years. We serve families of Chaska, Carver, Victoria, Shakopee and beyond. Our updated center includes 9 classrooms and a spacious gymnasium. Our renovated playgrounds feature safe, fun, age appropriate equipment and artificial turf surfacing.

Our Carver center will be opening in late 2022 at the corner of Jonathan Carver Parkway and Highway 212. Our expansive facility will include spacious classrooms with large windows for natural light, an indoor gymnasium, and four outdoor playground spaces.

Dear Parents,
Welcome to Next Steps Learning Center. I am pleased that you have taken the time to review our program for enrolling your child. Our goal is to have an exemplary curriculum and setting that encourages social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development according to each child’s individual learning style. We strive to provide affordable, dependable, high quality child care services for infant, toddler, preschool and school-age children in a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment.
Our program provides a well-balanced schedule of activity and quiet times. Activities and relationships occur in a healthy, positive and relaxed environment in which well-qualified staff provides personal attention and guidance to each child. Teachers will provide an array of developmentally age-appropriate activities that will foster, facilitate and nurture the individual needs and abilities of every child in a group setting.

A: Yes. There is a $10 family discount per week for multiple children in the same family. *Discount applies to families enrolled full-time.
Q: Is there a family discount* for multiple children?
A: Yes. We have an open door policy and parent participation is always welcome. Parents are invited to visit the Center at any time during the Center’s hours of operation.
Q: Can I stop in to visit my child during the day?
A: The Center is open all year round with the exception of holidays. Holidays that fall on Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday, and holidays that fall on Sunday will be observed on the following Monday.
Q: Does the center ever close?
A: Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: In Chaska we are located at the intersection of Chaska Boulevard and Audubon Road. In Chanhassen we are located in the Chanhassen Lakes Business Park just East of the intersection of Highway 5 and Audubon Road.

A:No. Next Steps Learning Center does not require fees to register your child.
Q: Is there a registration fee?
A: No. Extracurriculars such as music program, Spanish language, technology program, nutrition program, baby sign language, summer camps, and on-site and off-site* field trips are included in the tuition. *Off-site field trips apply to pre-k classrooms according to our discretion.
Q: Are there extra fees for my child to participate in extracurriculars?
